Zaineb Hussein is currently the Executive Director of Wayne United for Wayne County, which is located in Southeastern Michigan. Via internal and external programming, Wayne United focuses on fostering a welcoming environment where all residents can thrive. Under Zaineb’s guidance and leadership, Wayne County has become a “Welcoming County”; a bold statement, which makes it clear that Wayne County is a place that all immigrants, refugees and minority communities feel safe and welcome. Zaineb has also been charged with leading Wayne County’s 2020 Census campaign and has been appointed by the Governor of Michigan to sit on the statewide 2020 Census complete count committee.nnZaineb is also a founding partner of TwoFiveFour Consulting through which she advises political campaigns on strategy, branding, finance, and nonprofit and for-profit business planning. Zaineb has been a pioneer within the Michigan Muslim community and has been paving the way for civic engagement by Muslim Americans. She has been an inspirational voice and a fierce advocate for Muslim engagement in the political process.
